NYC townhouse once at center of hidden camera scandal lists for $11 million

A Manhattan brownstone that once made headlines for its owners’ use of hidden cameras is looking for a new owner.

Located at 7 W. 82nd St., just up the block from Central Park West, the five-story Upper West Side townhouse is asking $11 million, Crains first reported.

In 2014, owner Eli Kadoch and his brother Michael Kadoe (the pair share the same last name but spell it differently) were sued first by Aksana Kuzmitskaya, a maid living in the building, and then by Olga Kunina, an au pair. for allegedly secretly filming them on hidden cameras in the nine-unit property, The Post previously reported.

These two young ladies were trying to do their jobs and these two creeps were filming everything they were doing, Kunina’s attorney, Joseph Mure, told The Post in 2015.

The videos included Ms. Kunina used the commode, the shower, undressed in the toilet and engaged in sexual activities for [her] personal gratification, her lawsuit in Manhattan federal court says.

Both brothers denied the charges, but Kadoch was later indicted on more than 80 criminal charges by a grand jury.

Eventually, in 2016, the civil cases were settled before going to trial (and then dismissed with prejudice). All but one of the criminal charges against Kadoch were dropped, with the landlord ultimately sentenced to a single year of therapy, Crains reported.

Now, however, the siblings who Crains reported appear to control the shell company selling the address are ready to part with the property they bought for $925,000 in 1998.

This architectural gem, which features Northern Revival and Queen Anne styles with Romanesque elements, was originally a private residence and later converted to a multifamily building, describes the listing, which is held by Ariel Ben Ezra of Oxford Property Group . Its generous width and proximity to Central Park make it an ideal candidate to turn into a single-family home, promising elegance and value.

Other notable features in the listing include the fact that all units are currently rented at fair market rates. The structure is also 27 feet wide, and recent upgrades include a new boiler and electrical system.
